Many women using blessings 3D 4D Ultrasound elective services like the idea of chronicling their pregnancy and come in as early as 14 weeks for gender determination, once in the middle of the pregnancy to take a peek and once again between 26 – 35 weeks when the best results for the 3D 4D ultrasound images can be obtained. If you are choosing to come only once, blessings 3D 4D Ultrasound recommends that you come after 26 weeks when your baby has developed some layers of fat and still has adequate amniotic fluid to surround him/her. Before this time your baby will still have a very skeletal appearance. However, many moms and dads can’t wait that long to find out the gender of their baby and usually come once early for gender and once later to see whom their little one is going to look like. blessings acknowledges our repeat moms with special discounts. We try our hardest to get the best pictures we can, unfortunately the size of the mother can sometimes make it difficult to visualize the baby. If you are full figured, we recommend to come in between the 30th and 36th weeks of pregnancy.

Our staff of certified sonographers take great pride in being able to accurately identify the gender of your baby if you are at least 14 weeks. There are instances when fetal position may not allow proper visualization to adequately make that determination. When this happens you will be invited back free of charge for limited gender check. Our exceptionally experienced sonographers we can virtually guarantee you will accurately know the sex of your baby (if desired) and be able to plan accordingly before he/she is born! Our sonographers are also great at keeping secrets if you do not desire to know your baby’s gender.

While we do not require you to drink 40 ounces of water before your session, it is beneficial to keep yourself well hydrated for pregnancy in general. A reasonably full bladder is beneficial with ultrasound as the beam travels better through fluids than tissue and thus enhances the images we see of your baby in many cases. Also, if you are in your later months the fluid filled bladder will push up the baby’s head up and out of mom’s pelvis so we get better images.

Yes. We require all of our elective ultrasound sessions to be scheduled in advance.  You must be under prenatal care by a physician/midwife.
